Nueva Manteca

When a music star like the Cuban Paquito d’Rivera decides he wants to play with you, you haven’t done badly as a Dutch Latin jazz orchestra: Nueva Manteca mixes Cuba and jazz in arrangements that explode with creativity, has beefy soloists, with a razor-sharp combinaiton of drums and percussion. The maestro is pianist Jan Laurens Hartong and he knows all there is to know about ‘his’ music.
